SUPERIOR HI-FI RECORDINGS
Redd No. 7 is a recording studio and audio services company located in the Des Moines, IA metro. Producer and engineer Kevin Neal has worked with local, national, and international artists and musicians including members of Ryan Bingham's Dead Horses, Imagine Dragons, Slipknot, Vimic, Sinsaenum, Black Pumas, Sturgill Simpson, Liam Gerner, David Ramirez and many many more.
Since 2010, we have been providing our customers with superior audio and recording solutions in both analog and digital domains. The studio offers the very best in both time tested vintage gear as well as current cutting edge technology. We work provide a wide range of services including commercial jingles, voice-over’s, audio books, audio sweetening/restoration, producing, mixing, on-site & mobile recording,
We offer on-site and online guitar/bass lessons with an instructor that has over 25 years of teaching experience. We also hold summer and fall Performance/Recording workshops, and provide in-house repair and set-ups of amps, guitars, basses, outboard gear and drums.
A HOME FOR SOUND
Whether you are a professional musician looking to record your next album, document your latest demos, or flush out ideas with production tips/songwriting advice, our studio and expert staff are dedicated to helping you sound as good possible. We pride ourselves on having a recording studio environment that is comfortable, professional, and conducive to the creative process. The studio features a large 22‘X22’ live room with solid oak hardwood floors, lofted ceiling, and incredible acoustics. The studio's lower level contains the guitar lesson studio, control room, a rehearsal pre-production work area, as well as an all purpose iso-room for recording everything from screaming guitars to vocals.
THE STUDIO
Amenities include wi-fi, a lounge/wetbar area, and an upper and lower patio/deck area to catch some fresh air or a smoke and enjoy our Iowa weather!
Our recording studio is conveniently located in the NW side of the Des Moines, Iowa metro and less than a 1/4 mile right off of I-80 (Urbandale, Johnston, Clive area). There is ample parking for anything from a van and trailer all the way up to caravan of 4 or 5 tour buses right outside our door !
Iowa born and raised studio owner/producer/engineer Kevin Neal has well over 25 years experience in the music business, and the studio cat, Marcus, is very friendly.
